Introduction to Design of Experiments

This course provides an introduction to design of experiments (DOE). It will enable participants to plan, conduct, analyze, and interpret a screening experiment.

This course is available as a one or two day module. We recommend the two-day module unless participant already have a good working knowledge of ANOVA and Linear Regression.

  • Introduction to Design of Experiment

  • DOE Planning, Preparation and Knowledge Management

  • DOE Prerequisites: Hypothesis testing, ANOVA and Linear Regression

  • Full factorial designs

  • Fractional factorial designs

  • Replication, Randomization and Blocking

  • Model Reduction

  • Checking Model Assumptions

  • Interpreting the Prediction Equation

  • Center Points

This course can be supported by different statistical software packages including StatEase (R) Design Expert, CR Graph Visual XSel, SAS(R) JMP(R) or Minitab(R).
